MBM Forum Update

Hello!!

Hope this sees you all well. 

I’m not going to post a ‘lot’ of news here about my forum, however, I did want to mention that I have all of the tags re-posted in the ‘Magik’s Tag Showcase‘ of the new forum.  If you were to go onto my old Spruz site, they are now gone since I had to move them to keep track of what threads I’d finished. I have some I still have to post there that I’ve gotten since last Nov., that were not posted on the old site, but I’ll get them posted in the MBM forum later this week. 

Anyway, with that being said, my Tuts still need to be re-posted, but those are not a concern right now since I do still have them (unpublished) on my blogger account. 

Later this week, I’m hoping to continue work on my site pages if I can. I am hoping for a launch date of the April 10th of the site. Again- this is not going to be a site like I had. It will just be a pretty little bundle of pages to tie my blog, forum & shop together.  Once I get the site launched, I can start work on a shop. That’s the goal at least. 

I don’t have anymore updates right now. Any further updates (there are actually a few) about the forum I’ll be posting in the forum later this week.

Just An FYI About My Forum

Good Morning!

I’m just starting my cup of coffee for the day,
even though I’ve been awake for a while.

Anyway, while working in my MBM forum,
I got to thinking of a few things. 

First of all anyone is welcome to join the forum.
As long as you’re not a pirate, kit or tag ripper
or Drama Queen, you should be okay. 
It does have some ‘visitor’ areas that anyone can see if they stop by. …Just like I had on my Spruz site-
except you can reply in most of these areas also.

The second thing is if you do join, please be a little patient with me. I had that forum since 2011… and around 2015 it went on hiatus. I am literally just ‘relearning’ how to use it since it’s much different than the forum I had on my Spruz site. 

I’m not sure if forumotion made any drastic changes with anything in that time it was on hiatus. BUT! I’ve been wrong before. I think if you join I have to approve you. But I’m not 100% sure.  I know I had to change a setting a couple weeks ago because the forum wasn’t working for a person who had joined… and then left before I could find out what the issue was. Anyway, after searching the forumotion boards, I think I discovered the issue. I tweaked a few things & hopefully have the problem resolved. I made a new back up account & I didn’t have to approve that one & everything seemed to be working dandy- I posted several replies in there & so far it has been O.K., so I guess if anything, let me know if you have an issue & be patient please as I try to fix it for you. 

With that being said, I also had made a post over there two weeks ago & I realised that even though it’s in a public area of my forum, it might not be seen, so I’m going to ‘re-post’ it here as well. Read on:

This is not your typical ‘Tagger Forum’. This is my own version of that. This forum in no way will be like any of the other Tagger’s forums out there. I know I’ll probably be missing some threads, or ideas… and that is okay, because I don’t want to be like the others. 

I don’t peek at what other forums have for information such as artist permissions. I’m going to assume you belong to enough forums that have given you that information already. 

I’m also not going to copy any other’s ideas for Tagger Challenges, etc. I have my own ideas & my own ‘vision’ of how to do them. I pride myself on my own uniqueness & who would I be if I copied other ideas?

This forum will be different. It’s always going to be a bit ‘HIM-Inspired’ & that will never go away.  But, aside from that, I invite you to join me… and help make this forum a unique & fun experience.  We’ll do things a bit differently… and add our own twists to ‘common’ challenges & discussions.

Magik’s Mess Updates

I love the title I chose. Stinkin’ Adobe just had to get rid of Flash which has created this predicament I’ve been in since Sept. of last year.  BUT! I won’t get into specifics. This is supposed to be about updates… so here’s some updates:

This blog should have everything reposted here. If I forgot to say that before, well you now know.  And if I’m repeating myself? I’m just starting my first cup of coffee. 

I hope you like the blog. I love that I can use my own little emojis.   And  it’s ‘clean’ and neat- just the way I like it. The downfall with this blog is when posting links, I can’t set them to open in a new window-  I installed this awesome plugin into my blog that should have outside links opening in new windows for you. Anything that is linked within this blog will just open in the same window, though. 

Speaking of this blog, I have posted a couple freebies for you all who find me. Check the FTU Kits #3 page & they’ll be the last two on that list. 

As far as updates concerning my MBM forum, I am still working on boards over there. Most of it is set up & completed. I’m just working on everything that was ‘dependent’ on me having this blog set up first thus- me now trying to  complete the ‘Magik’s Tag Showcase’ board. I have a few threads completed over there & many more to go. I feel like I haven’t made a dent in that area yet.

Right now, at the time of posting this, my old site on Spruz is currently down… & I’m hoping it comes back online soon.  I kind of need it to just hang on for a little while longer so I can complete my forum. I just tried reposting from my forum on the new Spruz platform that I had the Spruz people migrate from my old site for me & let me just say that is the biggest, nastiest clusterf*ck I have ever seen in my life. And I apologize if that last bit confused you. It confused me more typing it. 

I have added all my exclusive tubes to be earned over at the forum. I actually have a couple new ones & I should be getting my newest ones any day now.  I’ll be posting those here soon-ish.

Anyway, that’s really all I have right now. I will be working on a site to kind of pull everything together so I’m not so ‘scattered’ about. I have the basic design done, it’s just making a few pages here & there & linking everything up.  And then the next part will be finding & setting up shop.
